Penn Wireless Association will be hosting a Hams in the Park event on Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Tyler State Park, Hickory Nut Picnic Grove. This event is open to all ham radio operators, friends, family members, and anyone who may be interested in learning more about the hobby. Whether you are an experienced operator, brand new to amateur radio, or just curious about what we do, we would love to have you come out. Please tell your friends and fellow hams! The plan is simple: come out, do some POTA, enjoy some food, and spend the day hanging out with other ham radio operators. It will be a relaxed day in the park with plenty of opportunity to get on the air, ask questions, and enjoy the hobby together. There will also be designated hours for QRP operation throughout the day for those interested in low-power operating.
